Privacy choice
Delete your account
You can permanently delete a Comb the Cove account and its associated cloud data at any time.
Delete inside the app
- Open Comb the Cove and choose Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Review the warning and confirm Permanently delete.
The in-app pathway immediately requests deletion of your cloud profile, friendships, synced settings, named best scores, the furthest Journey level reached, competitive attempts, and leaderboard records.
Request deletion without the app
Email privacy@combthecove.com from the address used for your Comb the Cove account. Use the subject “Comb the Cove Account Deletion Request.”
We will verify account ownership before acting. After verification, we will delete the associated account data promptly and normally within 30 days, unless a longer period is legally required. We will never ask for your password or one-time sign-in code.
What is removed
- Cloud profile and account linkage
- Policy-acceptance and approved-name publication evidence, if present
- Synced settings, named Journey/Zen best scores, and the furthest Journey level reached
- Friend relationships and duel participation
- Competitive attempts, verified runs, and leaderboard entries
What may remain
A player-name report can retain the snapshotted public name after the linked account identifiers are removed. An authorized operator reviews terminal reports at least monthly once they are older than 90 days and deletes them unless an open appeal, documented abuse-defense need, or legal hold requires an exception. Anonymous security records that no longer identify you may be retained for fraud prevention and legal compliance. Service-provider logs and backups can persist for their configured retention and backup cycles. Limited support and diagnostic records may require separate handling; see the privacy policy. Deleting the app does not delete the cloud account. Data stored only on a device can be removed with Settings → Reset local progress or by uninstalling the app, subject to the device's backup and restoration behavior.
